Type: Calcining Kiln. A calcining kiln with a rectangular stack and two bowls. 

Date: The complex is first shown on the 1880 OS map. Thought to have been built in 1857.

Listing: II* and within the Trent & Mersey Canal Conservation Area

Past Use: Bone and flint mill established by Jesse Shirley in 1857.

Current Use: Museum. Home to Etruria Industrial Museum.
