See Shirley’s 1857 Etruscan Bone & Flint Mill in steam and driven by an 1820s beam engine with steam generated in a locally built 1903 boiler operating as in Victorian days. Engine running 1230 to 1630 starting on the hour.
On Saturday 7th September Vintage Stationary Engines and on Sunday 8th September Classic Cars and Commercial Vehicles from 1100 to 1630. Museum. tea room, gift shop and toilets in the Visitor Centre. Artist Blacksmith Demonstrations in the Forge. Attractive canal side location in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent. Film about the Caldon canal and its re-opening to boats in 1974, 50 years ago. Entrance to Rally, Museum and Mill FREE in support of Heritage Open Days. Donations Welcome. Guided tours subject to availability. Limited access to the mill for those with mobility difficulties.
