15 Bottle Ovens Built in the City

About this event:

Heritage Open Days

The Warehouse (next to Stoke Top Lock), Etruria Industrial Museum
Etruria Vale Road, Stoke-on-Trent ST1 4RB

Sunday 21st September 2025

10:00

Of the 50 surviving bottle ovens in Stoke-on-Trent, only 15 were built since city status was granted in 1925. As part of our city's Centenary Celebrations, this talk and short walk takes a closer look at those built in the past 100 years, their architecture and the features which set them apart from their earlier counterparts.

Add additional names as appropriate. Use this space for anything else we may need to know or you need to ask.
Participants accept that the walk, like any other, involves potential hazards and take part at their own risk. Participants give their consent to the use of any photographs or video images taken on the day in social media or future publicity. Information submitted on this form will be used for event management purposes only and will not be shared with third parties.
Please tick if you wish to be informed of similar events in future.
